01 — The question
Pylon Floor Lamp, 2020
My first experiment with movement in light. Inspired by telecommunication pylons, I built an expanding mechanism carrying three large petals of light, so the lamp could be posed.

maki, 2023
NASA’s starshade folds flat for launch and blooms open in space. I took its public fold pattern and used it for light: a stepper motor, spur gears and a chain pull a cable that unfurls the paper, like a flower.
The same year, with London eyewear brand Monc, I developed a repeatable acetone formula to turn acetate waste into veneers.

03 — Learning to deliver
Fuel4, 2024–2026
After Central Saint Martins, a year as a product designer at Fuel4: 30+ projects for brand agencies working with Valentino, Tom Ford, Jo Malone and Netflix. Three-week deadlines, real tolerances, and a £10,000 printer I proposed and installed.
Beautiful work, built to last a season. Moving forward I wanted to design things people keep.
04 — Everything at once
kumi, 2026
A mechanical night light that opens and closes with your local day and night cycle. Pylon’s mechanism, maki’s fold, Fuel4’s discipline — and software written in conversation with Claude.
